New Braunfels Kids' Club provides at-risk elementary students a free program that offers a safe environment for children of low-income families to grow academically, be encouraged spiritually, and be nurtured physically.
Each week, Kids’ Club students spend several hours interacting with a consistent team of teen and adult volunteers. Students receive homework assistance, play academic games, participate in a Bible study, practice reading, enjoy enrichment activities, eat dinner, and pray with a mentor. Monthly visits to the Kids’ Club store give students an opportunity to “purchase” books and games with points they earn through hard work and good behavior. Students also have the opportunity to donate their points to send gifts to children's charities.
Kids’ Club provides bus transportation to bring students from four schools to the Kids’ Club facility, which features eight classrooms, a gymnasium, a kitchen, and an outdoor playground.
Visit the Kids' Club website for more information.
